Tom heads back to his native USA for this unique and exciting trip to one of the country's most spectacular photographic locations - there really is something for everyone. Colour, architecture, coastline, wildlife, the majestic White Mountains of New Hampshire and good ole local hospitality to look forward to - American style. So, New England is not just about colours in 'The Fall', but through Tom's expert knowledge and years of discovery, you will also explore the stunning coastline, including the many beautiful, quaint fishing villages, boats and majestic lighthouses of Maine, Acadia National Park with it's achingly gorgeous landscape, and the classic villages of Vermont with their tall white painted churches and covered bridges. It's a guided trip of a lifetime that you will want to visit again and again with your camera, as one trip is never enough, there is just so much to see.

We will meet in Boston where we will have time to rest up before starting our journey to northern Vermont where we will follow the autumn colours down through Vermont into the White Mountains of New Hampshire exploring the 'notches', then on to the coast of Maine finishing up back in Boston.

The New England trip with Tom proved an excellent mix of dramatic coastal locations, autumn colours and New England charm. With Tom’s local knowledge we arrived at key locations in time to catch the best light.

I’d specifically wanted to see some of the lighthouses on the way up the coast to Acadia and to this end got shoots in both morning and evening light and 1-2-1 tuition when requested.

Acadia at this time of the year is full of photographic opportunities with wonderful light and fabulous autumn colour. I came away with shots from Bass Harbour light, Otter Point boulders and the reflections at Somesville to name just a few.

Back in Boston we had a final evening capturing cityscapes and local highlights to complete an enjoyable trip. Several images have since been successful in camera club competition.
