The Tom Mackie Workshops, which embrace both digital and classic film photography, will give you a full grounding in the mechanics of how your camera works, so that technically you are as proficient as you need to be. But making the best use of your camera is not just an exercise in knowing what buttons to push and where to twiddle.

The deliberate design of these workshops has been refined to ensure that it’s in the creative area where you can expect to see the biggest improvement to your photography. Tom’s style is a world away from academic laboratory or lecture hall. Based on his natural, informal and personal approach, the structure and running of the workshops is one that encourages communication.
